I love Corrie ten Boom. This isn't really a sequel to The Hiding Place, but instead a collection of her reflections and experiences as she traveled the world evangelizing. Not sure if I agree with all of her theology, but her unwavering faith in her Savior is inspiring and encouraging. Please read The Hiding Place if you haven't already.

First, I want to give the definition of the word, “tramp,” as it has a different meaning in our modern vernacular:

Tramp
intransitive verb
  1. To walk with a firm, heavy step; trudge.
  2. To travel on foot; hike.
  3. To wander about aimlessly.

Now then…. Of all the autobiography’s I’ve read or listened to, this one touched me the most. I couldn’t listen for more than 5 minutes at a time without either a smile or almost a tear in my eye.

I read “The Hiding Place,” (also by Corrie Ten Boom) many years ago. I need to go back and read it again. This is my first time reading this book.

I don’t think I’ve ever read of someone who’s life was so defined by all the miracles God worked in their life. From a bottle of vitamins that never went empty while in the concentration camp, to witnessing angels standing around her suitcase which was filled with Bible’s that she was bringing into communist Russia (which didn’t allow Bibles in the country at that time), and many others. You have to read them yourself! I was absolutely blown away as she related the miracles that God has performed in her life. It made me praise Him as I read her words! 🙌

As with all of these stories of the hero’s of the faith, it made me desire even more to live my life as faithfully to the Lord as she did. I pray that God will continue to grow my faith, and draw me nearer to Him. And to help me always share the good news of the gospel without embarrassment!

What higher praise can I give for a book, than that it made me desire more of God and that I would have deeper faith? I highly recommend that everyone read this book 💕

If you liked The Hiding Place then you'll like this book. This tells of all Corrie's adventures sharing the gospel after the war. She is an incredible woman and it's inspiring to read of her experiences.

One of my ultimate favorite books. It’s instructive how she daily communicates with the Lord and has example after example of angelic protection and prophetic insight. She is humble and open about her relationship with the Lord and many successes in leading people to Jesus and in forgiving others.

My only criticism would be I was left curious sometimes about the order of events.
