I really liked the family aspect of this book, and the couple's chemistry was undeniable. I feel like Sam got off too easy, and so did Royce. Nisha's arc/ending was super rushed and unrealistic to me. I would've loved more of Sam's parents! Overall, this was a fun romance with an easy-to-read look into an Indian cultural background.

It was enjoyable but not memorable for me.

Some of it was cringe. Not the biggest Sam fan.

Liked the story at first but did not like the guy and how low he went. I think he burned too many bridges and went way too far, and I feel like he just didn't and couldn't make up for what he did. The author addressed this by revealing her parents wanted to move anyways as a "fix," but it felt like everyone gave something up for his revenge while he lost nothing in the end. I didn't buy the redemption arc, and he was over to me as a protagonist with what he did. He was so childish and passive and enabling with his partner's horrible business practices. It was impossible to be empathetic to him when he was so callous with everyone else. Even in the very end he's more consumed with telling his sister about his revenge than listening to her news.
