Wow.
I have no idea what happened but after a decent start and a strong second issue, this book went off the rails in the third issue.
But this? The final one? As much as I adore Joe R. Lansdale's writing—and I truly do, I've read damn near everything he's written—this one utterly shit the bed.
And I've gotta say, if you're the author of a comic book series, and the artist actually inserts your image into the storyline as a character, you really only want that to happen in a story that makes sense and comes to some fitting conclusion. Joe, this was not the storyline to get yourself inserted into.
