For the first time, I felt that there was a bit of a drop-off in Connelly’s writing here. Still better than most crime novels but the Black Dahlia sub-plot felt like he was scraping the barrel a bit.

Another terrific read from one of my favourite authors. Very entertaining with lots of ‘edge of your seat’ moments. I enjoyed the story and have always liked the characters Bosch and Ballard. Looking forward to whatever comes next from Michael Connelly.
A fun if gruesome crime investigation story. Mostly sticks with the story. A fun enough escape.
