My first foray into the works of Katherine Mansfield. I've heard this isn't her best collection, but I really enjoyed it. Excited to see what I think of more of her work when I finally get the chance to get to it!

Most of these stories are quite sad. Favourite was The Little Governess

I read this for university and wasn't expecting to like it, I put it off until the day before my seminar about it. But I couldn't put it down. All of these little stories made me smile, laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. Katherine Mansfield is now on my list of famous people I'd have over for dinner, just so I could ask her what the pear tree - the pear tree means.
Read it.

From BBC Radio 4 - Drama:

Something Childish and Very Natural, where Henry and Edna meet and fall in love, just as passionately as they always hoped they might.
Bliss, where Bertha’s life is dedicated to happiness, and her will for happiness folds around every experience, until this one.

Another book I wish I could read over again, to really fully understand. Her prose is so straightforward, and many of the stories have this yearning, claustraphobic feel to them. I imagine she must have felt like that.
