I wanted it to go somewhere but it really didn’t. The premise was really interesting but it doesn’t pay off which left me extremely frustrated.

There was something deeply upsetting to me about this book. Maybe being from a small town in Iowa, the nostalgia gets me but then that also makes the disturbing parts realer. I didn’t really get it but I scurried through because I was disturbed. I can do heavy read but this really freaked me out and then when I couldn’t put the pieces all together zoinks

Starting out the book game me so much nostalgia.. I grew up in small town Iowa and worked at a movie rental store (in my time it was DVDs not VHS) reading names of places I remembered.

This book did get weird and hard to follow at time.
