I did not expect to love this book as much as I did.
It is a fantastic retelling of rumpelstiltskin merged with Blue Beard but is further saturated with so many other fairy tales, it is amazing and very well done.
The language is rich and enticing.
It too, is unabashedly and clearly YA and I loved it even more for this.
And now that the audiobook is finished and has been returned to the local library, I will have to wait until the sequel is available.

WOW. This book was SO good and it's such a perfect spooky October read! Super immersive, I got sucked into the world of Serilda from page one. I love all the characters, the romance was adorable, and the macabre details were just so cool! I didn't realize this was the first book though so now I'm in AGONY
