I know a lot of people consider this to be one of the weaker Discworld novels, so I'm pleasantly surprised that I really liked it. I know that with this series you don't have to read it in publication order, but that is what I've decided to do. This was a good start and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I feel bad giving only 2 stars but I was very confused the whole time while listening. Maybe this wasn't the best book for me to listen to on audiobook. I'll attempt the next one... one day.

Loved this. I've been on an English-humour kick lately and this just nails that. It makes these meta decisions that are so absurd they feel almost careless, and they're so much fun.
The concepts are AMAZING too, like the as well as the Discworld in general. And all the characters are absolutely brilliant.
I've read other Discworld novels a million years ago and I knew I enjoyed them, and I'm really looking forward to continuing to read in order.

What have I just started? What have I just read!!! Brilliant, funny, charming and bloody weird!
The Color of Magic is the maiden voyage through the legendary land of Discworld. This is where it all begins – with the tourist Twoflower and his wizard guide, Rincewind.
So many laugh out loud moments and a few WTF’s, this book has it all and I feel a new 41 book obsession has taken hold of me!
Witches, wizards, dragons and barbarians, walking luggage and a picture box that is incredibly darling.
I’m definitely looking forward to diving into this bizarre world of fun and adventure.
