Maybe I'm just in the wrong place/too late for this one but it didn't take long for me to see why there was a significant publication of BIPOC-focused feminism books since this came out. Just felt like a book lacking nuance, and relying on shock-factor. There's no need to just list every incident of sexual violence as a way of convincing the reader that your premise is legitimate. I'm good.

This collection of essays were very good and Iā€™m very glad I read them. They were all pretty insightful and they helped me to understand some things more and to look at others in a different way. The things in this book are definitely not a comfortable topic but it is definitely one that needs to be had.

Tiene un lenguaje muy accesible, es facil de leer y es corto asi q no resulta pesado. Un basico q sin duda todos deberiamos leer.
En ocasiones resulta repetitivo pero nada muy molesto

Rebecca Solnit is one of my deities. I dog ear so many pages in her books. I have to admit I liked The Mother of All Questions better than this one, between the two I recommend that one more. I was a little lost in the Virginia Woolf essay, and more than once I found myself wishing for an updated essay or two (this was published in 2014, and as an example the Me Too movement erupted since then and would fit into this narrative.)  Still a valuable read if a little dated in 2022.
