This collection of essays were very good and I’m very glad I read them. They were all pretty insightful and they helped me to understand some things more and to look at others in a different way. The things in this book are definitely not a comfortable topic but it is definitely one that needs to be had.

Ta książka jest napisana bardzo prosto, ale według mnie to wcale nie jest minus. Dzięki temu, przeczytałam ją prawie na raz, wciągnęłam się i nie zmęczyłam czytając, a bałam się, że tak właśnie będzie.

Rebecca przedstawia wiele trafnych spostrzeżeń, mój ulubiony esej to chyba ten o równości małżeńskiej, jest po prostu genialny.

Dzięki tej książce mam ochotę czytać więcej tego typu literatury i bardzo jestem tej książce za to wdzięczna.

Ważna pozycja, otwierająca oczy. Nie rewolucjonistyczna, nie wstrząsająca, ale nadal cholernie ważna.

Los hombres me explican cosas es una colección de ensayos (quizá sería mejor decir artículos) de Rebecca Solnit que giran, en mayor o menor medida, alrededor del tema del feminismo. No sé a ciencia cierta cómo surgió la idea del libro, pero tengo una hipótesis: Solnit publicó «Los hombres me explican cosas», el ensayo, y consiguió una gran repercusión. A partir de ahí le propondrían o se le ocurriría publicar un libro con diversos ensayos feministas al que le pusieron el título de ese ensayo que se hizo famoso.

¿Problema? No demasiado, pero como me dijo Neus de "Sin libros no soy nada", puede llevar a engaño si esperas un libro que te hable del fenómeno del mansplaining. Además, al ser ensayos aislados que se pensaron de manera independiente, cuando llevas un poco de libro se repiten referencias, casos, argumentaciones... Y acabas perdiendo el interés, sobre todo si ya sabes algo de feminismo.

No obstante, me parece un libro interesante (en su mayor parte) para quien no tenga mucha idea y quiera leer un poco sobre feminismo porque, además, a pesar de tratar los temas con seriedad, intenta ponerle un toque de humor que hace la lectura bastante agradable a ratos (en otros momentos es muy incómoda, porque los datos que da y los casos que refiere son escalofriantes)
