I think any disdain for this book was used error. overall great read with great characters and an important message! Liked how it was set up with flash backs and modern day snippets- wove together really nicely!

The characters lacked chemistry which really took me out of this really great story. The idea of a living funeral and understanding the impact you’ve had on others lives is so beautiful, but I do not think any of them were very well executed. There was so much focus on the adventure getting to the living funeral and the event felt like an afterthought. Also very oddly organized.

I loved the Guncle but I just did not like these characters nor feel attached to them. I was also bored. It like nothing was happening.
What an incredibly beautiful book!! Not sure I knew what I was getting into, but so glad that I did! A group of friends who became family. A group of friends that knew loss early and chose not to have regrets but to live life letting others know their value and that they are loved. As the age, they each have their struggles. They each find a reason to reach out, to embrace each other and to be embraced.
