slow-paced

I think I would’ve been more emotionally involved if I was reading it rather than listening to it. Though either way, the characters weren’t that fleshed out to the point of me really being in their shoes, nor was the conflict that robust to cheer them on in all times of strife. But the love always shines through.

Did I stay up entirely too late finishing this book?
Was it worth it? Also yes. As a person who has had the same core group of friends since 5th grade (or maybe even earlier) this struck a nerve with me. The lengths friends will go to - even when they argue or fall out of touch for a time - is amazing. This book showed exactly what the value of a good friendship means when everything else is falling apart.

I had a hard time following the chronology and each character's story. Some of the characters were quite unlikable (Craig!). This just wasn't the book for me.
