Interesting although the ending was a slightly bit lacking. I really wanted there to be ghosts in this house.

I really enjoyed this book. There were tons of parts where I actually felt the oh shit scary movie feeling, and I don’t think I’ve felt that since pet semetary in 2019, so that’s amazing. Loved how all the twists and alternate endings built on each other, each one better than the last. Still, there was something in this book that was sort of lacking. I’m not sure if it was because Maggie was…boring? And I also don’t understand the title 😂

Another really solid spooky story from Riley Sager. A fun ghost story with lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing

This was a good spooky thriller to read for October! I read ‘Lock Every Door’ years ago and enjoyed it at the time, but I definitely think ‘Home Before Dark’ was more up my alley (I’m a ghost person what can I say). The twists were twisting, the ghosts were ghosting, the liars were lying. I only really have small critiques, and in general it was a good fun time.

I bought Home Before Dark right after finishing Lock Every Door, as I couldn’t wait to read something else written by Sager. To say the least, I was not at all disappointed.

Not to brag or anything, but I am generally pretty good at predicting outcomes of books. I thought I had this one all figured out- then came the twist, and another twist, and another.

Will definitely be adding this book to my list of favorites!
