This is how a sequel should be done. The Lost World takes everything that worked in Jurassic Park and raises the stakes in all the right ways. I’m highly impressed. It was a thrill to see Ian Malcolm return!! He’s witty, skeptical, and once again totally in over his head. Plus, the addition of new characters added some fresh energy to the story that I really enjoyed.

There’s even more dinosaur action this time around, too!! The tension is high, the science is super fascinating, and the sense of danger is constant. It’s faster, darker, and more intense.

I’m honestly sad it’s over, but at least we still have the films to keep this Dino world world alive! Although, now I can confidently say that nothing beats the original source material. Everyone should read these books!!!
