Absolutely loved Bex and Nick but absolutely hated Lacey 1000% so that is why I took a star off, I usually give books I like 4 stars. Never really 5 unless it’s amazing which this is not. It’s nice. Just nice.
It took me a bit to get into this, I almost considered giving up. But around the halfway point I was riveted and couldn't put it down. So many great moments that made me laugh out loud and a lot of great secondary characters that I wanted entire books dedicated to!

Dear God, I think I died a couple of times reading this. Enchanting, heart-breaking, emotional and hopeful are a few of the words I would use to describe this. It was a rollercoaster of ALL THE FEELS but totally worth it.
I would let Nick and Bex break my heart many times over and out it back together.

This book definitely lived up to the hype. As a longtime fan of royal families in Europe, this fictionalized look at the British was incredibly fun. I loved the characters, including many of the supporting ones, and would love to keep reading more. As a blogger wrote, it is very much an adult chick lit: lots of language, sex, drinking, etc. But a great summer read for sure. It is a bit long but I couldn't find anything specific that I would cut. I'm giving it 5 stars because I'm still thinking about the characters and the story several days after I finished it and a re-read will be happening sometime soon! And I want the Freddie sequel!
Stories about royals are my absolute favorite! But then you mix in the normal American girl who falls in love with a Royal and I am 120% SOLD!!!
I loved this book and the characters so much!! I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel in 2020!!!

So I thought this book had to do with grammar and I had always put this book and Confessions of a Comma Queen together. So that's a little embarrassing. Also not sure why I didn't get the clue when the cover is a picture of two people kissing. I don't know. Needless to say, this book was just a shock, rather than a disappointment. I'm not going to go into too much detail for this review other than that it was kind of nice to relax with an elevated stereotypical YA love story. It was definitely better than the groan-worthy love at first sight, face some stupid troubles, realizes that they are perfect for each other. Yeah, there was some more nuance, a bit more of that realistic touch of the troubles that real couples face in the real world. Yet, that cheesy plot was still present. All the characters became familiar after 454 pages, yet none of them stood out to me. I felt no real connection other than the fact that they were specially written into the plot. Also-this emanates the actual UK William and Kate story-meeting in college, long relationship, breaking up, then coming back to each other (minus the drama in this book, of course). Plus, the bride having a sister and the prince having a younger brother-really? I'm not sure if this was totally a coincidence that happened just because there was a pre-written historical outline to follow, or if it was purposeful. Regardless, it lost a touch of authentic storytelling when it became a story repeated.
I will say though that this book gave me a different perspective on royal life. You are scrutinized to every inch of your person, but you still have to be perfect. It sucks, but what can you do?
