I enjoyed this book! The ending was a bit dull, but I really am a fan of Moriarty's writing.

This was ok ... more interesting than a typical romance but not as good as What Alice Forgot

A good book. Entertaining. I ended up reading it and listening to it on Audible, off and on, and I definitely was more into the text when I was reading, than listening.

The beginning was a little too long. We knew for a while that the stalker was crazy. I did like that we heard from the stalker multiple times and it grounded her character. We started to understand why she did what she did, even though she was crazy.

The climax of the book was amazing. Enough said.

I don’t think its one of her best.

"The Hypnotist's Love Story" will probably not win any literary awards, but I am just smitten with Liane Moriarty's self-depreciating heroines and their comedic analysis of life's trajectories, particularly in regards to developing, maintaining and ending romantic relationships. The stalker in this book was a nice touch--it's rare to find such a sympathetic one. Plus, Moriarty's complex characterizations of "Moms" are second to none. So, I stand by my four-star rating...I REALLY liked this book!

I'm normally a big fan of Liane Moriarty, but this book was just flat out boring. Ellen, the main character, was just ridiculously dumb. Patrick was boring. Saskia was pathetic. Everyone was just....blah. I only gave it two stars because I like the author.

Well, I commented to Sarah when she finished this that I'm a wicked slow reader, & this would take me another 2 months to finish. That was 5 months ago!

I did enjoy this, but it didn't capture my attention all that much. Other books came to me that I finished rather than put in the time on this one. But it did have interesting characters. It rattled me a bit that is took place in Australia, but I found I enjoyed that. A decent ending too- the author could have left a lot hanging & seriously annoyed me.
