This is a really cute read! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. If you enjoy books by Meg Cabot, Sophie Kinsella and Jane Green then you will be very pleased by this book. I had a hard time getting into this book. Then, about a third of the way through I couldn't put it down! Seriously, I read for hours at a time. It reminded me of Moriarty's book "What Alice Forgot" since it was thought provoking and endearing.

this book just dragged on and on and on about nothing. dnf

I love this writer, she does a great job developing a story and creating interesting characters. This is not her best work but it was very readable and enjoyable. A good light summer read.

After reading nothing extraordinary for books lately, I knew it was time to grab another Liane Moriarty off my shelf. And I’m so glad I did! Liane never ceases to amaze me with her characters, plot, humor, all of it. I couldn’t put this book down because I was so anxious to read what would happen next. And that to me, means it was a great book. I think I only have 3 more novels by Liane left to read and I’m honestly sad that they’re dwindling down. I’m going to have to space them out over the summer!

Probably my least favourite of Moriarty's books so far. No big story arc - more a meandering and uncertainty on who is delusional and who is the villain. I got the impression even the author wasn't sure if she was writing about criminal/insane behaviour or just sad and lonely people. Wouldn't reccommend.

This was my first read from Moriarty, and I actually ended up quite enjoying it. I would actually give this book 3.5 or 3.75 stars, but that's not an option, so I'm rounding up for sheer readability.

Moriarty crafts likable characters put into interesting situations. Reading the book, I remember having a very pleasant experience, though I can't quite recall now why it was so enjoyable. I did enjoy how the narrative switched between Ellen and Saskia--I can't imagine having read this entirely from Ellen's perspective. Throwing Saskia in the mix certainly helped matters.

I've read a review or two here that says "nothing happens." Which isn't precisely true. Sure, this is a relatively quiet book--it's not the sort of thing you'd see typically when you decide to read a story about stalking (no James Patterson melodrama here), but there ARE events that happen, particularly in the last 1/4th of the book: the culmination.

This is not the documentary regarding stalking that is mentioned in the book. It's better than that, because we get the stalker's perspective/thoughts. At certain points, she is even sympathetic--we can understand why she went a little crazy.

All in all, it was an entertaining read, and relatively quick. I will likely pick up some of Moriarty's other work in the future because I did end up enjoying this one.

This was good but not as good as her other books. I was entertained though and enjoyed parts of it. I'm definitely a fan of this author.
