ein sehr gut strukturiertes und informatives Buch, vor allem für Menschen, die sich noch nie mit unserem Wirtschaftssystem auseinandergesetzt haben. Für Menschen, die schon in der Materie sind, ist es eine nette Zusammenfassung und Aufmunterung.

"Rethinking our world" is a gripping and honest call to action for 2023. Gopel's engaging writing style has allowed for the exploration of today's big issues without overloading the reader. Each chapter reads like a conversation over coffee and I appreciated the nuanced summaries throughout.
This book is now full of highlights and I am really seeing things through a new lens. A pertinent read which could not have come at a better time. This book will leave you enraged and spilling "did you knows" to your family and friends.

"Unsere Welt neu denken: Eine Einladung" bietet eine gute Einführung in das Thema Nachhaltigkeit und wie weitgefasst das Thema eigentlich ist. Maja Göpel zeigt nicht nur den Ist-Zustand deutlich auf, sondern macht auch klar, was alles möglich wäre.
Ich konnte auf jeden Fall ein paar neue Denkansätze für mich mitnehmen. Allerdings war es durch Gedankensprünge manchmal etwas schwierig, der Autorin zu folgen - man selbst muss also auf jeden Fall sehr aufmerksam lesen.

A necessary book that should be read by everyone. With the pace the world is turning (and endless resources are used up) it can’t go on like this for long.
Though - let’s be honest - Earth won’t care if humanity is going to die out or not.

Ein notwendiges Buch, das jeder lesen sollte. So schnell wie sich die Welt derzeit entwickelt (und endliche Ressourcen verbraucht werden), wird sie sich jedenfalls nicht mehr lange weiterdrehen können.
Wobei - wenn man ehrlich ist - es dem Erdball völlig egal sein wird, ob die Menschheit sich selbst zugrunde richtet oder nicht.
