What can I say? Short sweet fun.

Stephanie Plum is back in action in Three to get Deadly, the third book in the Stephanie Plum series.

I really love these books. Lots of action and suspense, a tad bit of romance. Mostly, these books are hilarious! I love them! I love seeing what Stephanie's going to get into next. Quick, fun reads!

3.5. Didn’t hit like the first 2. Maybe I wasn’t listening to the audiobook close enough lol

Once again another Stephanie Plum novel that kept me wanting more. Hilarious. Fast paced. I'm going to go get number four today...Love Love Love these stories! Great for when you need a good laugh.

I was not happy with this book. As of fan of the first two Stephanie Plum books as well as other novels by Janet Evanovich, I was disappointed in the third installment for the series. In Three to Get Deadly, Stephanie Plum is assigned to bring in the town's favorite Uncle Mo for missing a court date. However, this proves hard to do since Uncle Mo can't seem to be found and no one believes any ill of one of the most nicest man. I mean no one. It seemed the majority of the book, this conversation is repeated over and over to Stephanie Plum as she runs around with zero clues all while trying to dodge Morelli, the cop she has the hots for, and from being murdered. Stephanie teams up with Lulu who is a character filled with every stereotypical thing you can think of for a black woman and the two set out to find out everything they can about Uncle Mo. I know Stephanie is supposed to be new at her bounty hunting job, but she is absolute the worst at it. Every idea she has either comes from Lulu or someone in her family. She never does any actual legwork on her own and yet she wants to be taken serious.

Despite that, this book could have actually been good. I've read Chick Lit worst then this. It was the repetitive "Uncle Mo would never do this" that killed it for me. Saying in the first chapter is acceptable, and maybe a little in the beginning of the second chapter. But Jesus, the majority of the book. WE GET IT!

I will try to give the next book in the series a try to see if it will get better given the date this one came out.

Another really funny murder mystery. My full review is on my blog: http://jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/08/three-to-get-deadly-by-janet-evanovich.html

I didn’t like this story as much, kind of gross and creepy and not enough actual funny parts to make up for it.

C.J Critt is the perfect narrator for this series. I can’t get enough of Stephanie Plum and her antics.

Another fun addition to the series.
