Unless you have a pretty extensive knowledge of old British words I suggest having a Websters dictionary on hand. Not what I was expecting but fun none the less.

This book makes me smile! A very funny and lighthearted read, which I am quite surprised at as The Mortal Engines was an incredibly dark series but I guess that this series is geared towards younger audience. Love this! Yay for happy endings and no horrible deaths.

Fun, fun, fun! A grand steampunk adventure in the point of view of a very British boy in a very British story with mostly British people and aliens. Oh, and throw in a great bit of science fiction in there to boot.

Also, I learned a new word today. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the word "tergiversator" before. It took me ages to figure out how to pronounce that (and I'm still probably failing!). Anyway, yes. Fabulous book.

Steampunk for kids and amazingly hilarious! Xander can't stop quoting this book to me and he read it months ago - I am finally getting around to it and it is just a good as he said it is!

The story line was boring, but the only interesting part was the setting in outer space. Not impressive and poorly organized

I really wanted to like this. A magical steampunk spaceship house? Yes please.

I had to abandon at 70%.
