4.25 stars. super interesting memoir and very approachable for all audiences. i think she makes the science easy enough for the average person to understand, while also think she does a great job portraying how autoimmune encephalitis can really harm a patient and her family for medical professionals. it really highlights the importance of having medical professionals who are aware and understanding, and to not give up on patients. 

worth the read for those in medicine! it makes me wonder how many people in the past were given the label of crazy and institutionalized when there was something pathological
