William Kidd has joined my ever growing list of favourite book boyfriends.

I devoured this book in just over 24 hours, and that's only because I had to sleep and do other adult things. Had I been able to, I would have finished it in one sitting.

As an Australian, reading a book by an Australian author with Australian characters always brings me joy. That combined with the small seaside town with a close knit community and a friends to lovers theme? You have me hook, line and sinker straight away.

Abbie and Will have such an incredible friendship, which is put on show when a 6 month old baby is brought to Will's doorstep. Not only does Will immediately take on the responsibility of being a father, Abbie is right by his side helping him out.

There are challenges for both of them along the way which is to be expected when you're all of a sudden a parent and have no idea what to do.

The amount of spice in this book is just right for this kind of story, and it is expertly written.

I'm pleasantly surprised that what I thought would happen didn't, I think if it had then the story might have been a bit predictable but it was quite original and believable as well.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will absolutely be reading Samantha's other books.

Oh we love a Daddy moment especially Daddy Will. Lord that man will charm your panties right off. This book was so heartwarming. I loved Abbie and Will so much and that cute little boy, Seb.

Abbie is bold, brave, and bright. I loved her personality and vibes she exuded. Daddy Will is charming, protective, and hardworking. It was so fun watching him bloom in his new role as a father. These two were simply everything. They truly fell into life seamlessly together trying to navigate a baby.

And the heat between these two was HOT my friends. Together Abbie and Will were sexy, flirty, and fun. Their chemistry is simply unmatched.

The ending had my heart filled with all of the warm fuzzies. I had some happy tears slipping down my face.

How does Samantha keep topping herself? Every book has been better than the last even when I'm *sure* nothing can top it. I have been waiting for Abbie and Will since Ready for You and ohmygod they were worth the wait. I really struggled picking favourite quotes here because I highlighted at least 50% of the book.

A series of complications leads to Abbie and Will living together, sharing a bed, with a 6 month old baby and sexual tension between them that could start a fire. The baby fever hit HARD with this book because daddy Will made me FERAL.
