An overall enjoyable read, although a bit slow at the start. However last act of the book REALLY picks up in pace and that is really where the book came into it’s own for me, and has made me want to read the next instalments in the series.
I saw a previous review that described the premise of this book as “GoT for teenage girls” and I couldn’t agree more!
It’s a good, fast paced read so ideal for getting back into reading or if you’re looking for something that doesn’t require a huge time commitment if you like fantasy.

I shouldn't have had any expectations for this book. I think I would have liked it. People said this was enemies to lovers but there literally was one. ONE romantic moment. And it was boring. Eh.
