A lot of dense information, but the real life examples help break it up a bit.  The author does get a little repetitive at some points, but once you identify this trend, you can scan those bits quickly.

informative resource regarding specifically forensic science & pathology, types of evidence, and broad crime scene investigation — if you’re looking for specifics of procedurals outside of the science, look elsewhere, but if you’re interested in that angle, this does the job.
