For the love of Mike gets 5 stars why?! Well it's been a while since I read a book in 24 hours. Listened to this on #BorrowBox for #free which makes it doubly awesome. Great job Rhys Bowen! Liked the fantastic plot twists and turns and definitely don't let those boys get the girl! (That's not really a spoiler is it? 😉)

I love Molly! What a great character in a well-written mystery series. I felt the fire in the garment factory was maybe too much of a play on the Triangle factory fire (which I have read a lot about) but very fitting for the time period with women workers in NYC. How does Rhys know so much more than I do about life in the USA? LOL

This one was very straight forward and didn't seem to drag.

I like that they've introduced a love triangle I just wish (Much like Darcy O'Mara) that we would see more of Daniel. I love their banter.

Looking forward to In like Flynn!

On the brink of ending this tedious story, I thought about Ultimate Soccer manager. It was a turn based football game that came out in the nineties. Very addicting and fun. Unlike this book. Anyway half the fun of that game was to invent names for the manager character. My favorite was 'Joui de la Putana'. It was hilarious when I got the boot from the job and the game served up the picture(like I said it was turn-based) of a man clearing his desk with his face in his hands. Party hardy equals sacking, as one might say. As for the book, it was as bad as the last one but I have doubled the score. Let no man say that Joui was a mean fellow.

I always enjoy Molly Murphy. A strong heroine, engaging mysteries with plots I never unravel, fantastic historical setting, and at least a dollop of romance. Though I will say I'm not sold on Molly's current love triangle. I also love that theres always importance placed on friendships. This one tasks Molly with finding a missing girl who eloped with her bad boy bf from Ireland, and also with finding out who is smuggling designs across sweatshops. As she gets more entwined, Molly also tries to help improve conditions for the girls working in the sweatshops, which I also loved to see her taking up that cause.

I really like the Molly Murphy character. This is number three in the series and I think this is my favorite thus far.

Molly Murphy's life gets worse and better at the same time.

She realizes that life is no less unfair and corrupt in her new country as it is anywhere else and does not like it one bit. She also gets a couple of new cases to work on and she gives her all into completing them.

Her romantic life gets even more complicated with the addition of a new viable romantic interest when things remain strained between her and Daniel. I'm curious to see how things will turn out in that front, while at the same time I admire the way Molly handles the situation.

I'm really enjoying her story so far, from Molly's character and spunk to the complicated mysteries, to the reality of a young America on the cusp of many great changes.

Looking forward to listening to [b:In Like Flynn|626065|In Like Flynn (Molly Murphy Mysteries #4)|Rhys Bowen|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1390173644s/626065.jpg|2831700] next.
