A nice detective romance, the plot and subplots were great (love the twist at the end =)) but I didn't get attached to the characters : I found them dull and to be honest, if Laurant or Nick have been killed, well I'm not sure I'll have care ...
The end was funny though and I like Noah =)

Murder-suspense romance. FBI. Best friend’s little sister.

Tried this since I saw somewhere that JG does romantic suspense very well, but I found it to be a bit predictable. May or may not continue to the second book.

Primer libro que leo de Julie Garwood. Me ha gustado mucho el estilo de esta escritora. Sabe mantener la tensión y los diálogos de los personajes principales son ágiles, directos y muy graciosos. Me encanta Nick Buchanan.

This book is beyond boring. After 150 pages, I could summarize the events as "a serial killer threatens a priests sister and he calls his childhood friend, an FBI agent to help. He shows up with his FBI buddies." That's literally the extent of what happens in 150 pages.

"When a serial killer reveals the identity of his next victim--a beautiful woman named Laurant Madden--FBI agent Nick Buchanan steps in to protect her but quickly finds his mission complicated by his feelings for her." (From Amazon)

I started with book five in this series not knowing it was a series. After book five I started at the beginning and so glad I did as there are little spoilers. The characters are connected through family or the FBI.
