I think anyone can take something from this story, regardless of whether they believe in the existence of a God. It’s a story about loss and acceptance, which are human experiences we all share. I didn’t find it preachy at all, and I’m not religious. I actually found it quite refreshingly gentle and approachable in its religious messaging.

Wow. I absolutely inhaled this book. The short chapters and straightforward writing style made it so easy and fast to read. I don't know how Mitch Albom does it, but he managed to paint such a vivid picture with few words. I loved the way the story was told, leaving lots of mystery and building intrigue on every page. It deals so beautifully with grief, loss and bitterness. Not a book I'll forget any time soon.

Short chapters make it a fast read with intriguing endings to chapters that lead the reader on. Simply written but tackles loss and grief well.
