I’ve got to be honest, I wasn’t fully convinced at first. But boy was I wrong!!! This is one of the best books I’ve ever read, I loved it. Took me a hot minute to get into this, but once I was there I was hooked! This is one that will 1000% be a reread for life!

I immersion read this one (physically and audio) as I always do when I delve into the first book in a epic fantasy series and wow, just wow! Damian Lynch’s narration just hit the spot for me. I may have to immersion read them all!
The last 100 pages is what sealed the infinity stars for me. It was already a 5star before but after that, it’s definitely one of, if not the best book I’ve ever read as of 2024!

This was everything I was looking for and needed in a fantasy. Now, I’m definitely planning on reading the full works of John Gwynne.

This was so so so good! Reminds me of Brandon Sanderson. So rich in detail and engrossing. Can’t wait to read book 2!
