A very short prequel to the Jasper Dent series, recounting how he met Connie. It is very sweet but very short. Wish she would show us more snippets of Dent's life

I love these prequels. I enjoy getting the backstory that author Barry Lyga feared would interrupt the flow of the I HUNT KILLERS book series.

Billy is such a creeper! I really enjoy seeing bits from inside his head. And, I loved finding out that Jazz really doesn't like being called Jazz but does so for a reason. There's an actual reason! It gave me chills.

I absolutely loved it!! I loved hearing how Connie and Jasper met, how he got the name Jazz, and some of Howie's random pick-up lines! They seem so young here, and naive, than where they are now in the books. Great addition to the series!

Nothing happens, but you do get a better sense of who Jazz is and I liked seeing him meet Connie.
