my 3rd poetry collection by rupi kaur and i gotta say it’s up there with milk and honey, for sure. it was so good!
i don’t really usually read poetry, but rupi kaur’s writing i think is for every girlie out there. even if you don’t read poetry, i think you’ll find yourself relating to most of these poems. they were so uplifting and inspiring! something about the writing style just really makes you feel things and rethink how you look at yourself and your life in general.
it’s really hard for me to review poetry lol but if you can get your hands on this copy, please do! it’s truly worth it. 🖤

While I may have read Rupi Kaur’s ‘poetry’ around social media for a while now, it’s my first time reading an entire collection. I personally felt they were more of intimate thoughts penned down than actual poetry… but then again, is it possible to confine a free form of expression to certain expectations?
That aside, I’m a bit conflicted rating this poetry collection as although there were some ‘poems’ that deeply resonated with me, some others were a bit harder to digest as I wasn’t able to connect as much.

Whoa. The book you need to read. Now. In these times. In whatever times. All the truths are in this book.

I loved the first two books, this one felt like a healing arch that I needed at a time in life.

Stan this queen.
