I didn't know anything about this book, the authors, or this podcast going into it. That said, I really enjoyed it. Being a woman in the same age range, and of the same generation, I found many of the anecdotes familiar, and a lot of the stories fun and/or insightful. An enjoyable, relateable low-key read.

Five chapters (preview) down, five chapters (May) to go. Cannot. Wait.

Just like the podcast....this was a great read!!!

Bit shit. Better podcasters than they are writers
funny informative fast-paced

Surprisingly, this book has nothing to do with murder. Unlike My Favorite Murder, the podcast it grows out of, it's really more of a memoir and a guide to what the authors have learned from two lifetimes of hard-earned experience. Just like the podcast, this book is messy, sloppy, and liberally sprinkled with humor and profanity. If you like My Favorite Murder, particularly the repartee and personal stories, you'll love this book. Otherwise, it's still a lot of fun, but maybe less compelling. Still, it's funny, revealing, and a very fast read.

So I'm saying I finished this, but really I only finished the partial ARC I was able to acquire at TLA. However, what I got to read was hilarious, and I'm looking forward to finishing it for real when the full book is released.

Very entertaining! I have not listened to their podcast, but now I want to.
