Loved the deep dive into Karen and Georgia's history and private lives. Especially appreciated the sections on fucking politeness and all the straight talk about mental health and eating disorders.
In short; if you like the pod, you're gonna love this one.
I read this together with "The stranger beside me" and definetly would recommend pairing this one with a big scary true crime book to balance out anxiety.
I would read a few chapters about Ted and then finish my evening with a chapter of this book so I could go to the bathroom at night anxiety free. I'm not scared, you're shared. Shut up.

I love them and I love the podcast and I’m glad I read it, but it didn’t ultimately work for me
Absolutely amazing! I recommend it to all Murderinos out there or anyone who's struggling with past traumas, childhood, parents, identity, or just found themselves in a hole they can't get out of. This is a great advice book with a quirky touch to it. It gets real deep into the feelings so grab a tissue or two for the read!
I'd say this book is aimed at a 20-somethings/early 30s audience (younger than me), but I did enjoy it. It's somehow comforting to read about other people honestly owning their mistakes and vulnerabilities. I think I'd try listening to their podcast once before I picked this book up in the store and got interested, but didn't really like it. I tried listening again after I finished the book, but still didn't like it.

I am giving this what may be the first five star rating I’ve ever given. I LOVE Karen and Georgia so I may be biased, but I loved it. Whenever I listen to their podcast I feel like I’m hanging out on the couch with them, and this book felt the same way.
This would have made for a good audiobook listen! It was a bit disjointed and conversational for a read-type book. Also, I had hoped Karen and Georgia would have gone deeper in their stories and lives.
This book felt like a warm hug. Like having a conversation with your best friends despite never meeting them. I laughed, I cried, but most of all I want to thank Karen and Georgia for making me feel as though it’s okay to be a weirdo, or to wield my weirdness. ❤️❤️❤️
