I really liked Bridget and Rhys, both together and individually. I also liked how the book has so much more in it than just the romance.
It has all the politics and royal lifestyle in it as well which I enjoyed reading. The slow burn had me on edge NGL.

Such a fun steamy romance. I liked that it focused more on the love story compared to twisted love

Yay!

Considering the extremely low rating I have the 3rd book in the “Twisted” series, this came to me as some what of a surprise.

I knew that I would want to read about the other characters in this universe but didn’t want to dip my feet into any more psychotic male love interest x bubbly sunshine’s who too forgiving for her own good. So, I naturally picked the 2nd book as it sounded the most normal to me. AND BOY WAS I NOT DISAPPOINTED!

The romance. I believe it was developed realistically, given that the book spans over 4 years. It didn’t leave me questioning how they came to like each other nor did it leave me doubting their chemistry (which, yes, goes beyond fucking). There were so many intimate scenes where I teared up and genuinely felt so giddy and warm which was such a comfort after having read something so…questionable?

Nevertheless, this book was nothing new. Granted I came into this book expecting fairytale-esque romance and received that thus, it contented me but didn’t AMAZE me. To be fair, not Ana Huang’s fault, just mine! The tropes were executed well and nothing was out-landish or questionable, it was all fine. And because it was just fine, not anything spectacular or amazing, I didn’t give it a 4/5

I am all for the bodyguard princess trope and twisted games. I checked all the boxes. I love Rhys with all my heart, and Bridget balances him perfectly. From the plot twists to the third act break up, I was on the edge of my seat. I think this is my favorite of the series so far. 3 down 1 to go!
