I'd like to thank God Kate Leth for keeping Patsy out of the Civil War II:Stupid Minority Report event and bringing Jubilee and girl gangs back into my life

For some reason, I enjoyed this far more than volume 1. It's gotta be the best thing to happen during that Civil War II nonsense, and I don't even need to read that Event's main storyline to say that much. The thing about Patsy Walker, Hellcat is: it's not about superhero fights. It's about relationships, emotional processing, and navigating conflict in ways that are connected, grounded, and easily metaphorical to current real-world problems. People have skillsets, and receive messages from society, family, friends, partners, etc. that they should do certain things in order to be successful. But in a world where we see so many more details that comprise a big, depressing picture of reality, maybe that version of success is outdated? Hellcat tells stories about that, and Kate Leth handles these characters deftly. They probably won't be popping up across other titles, and for all I know, the series has already been cancelled (because apparently Marvel lacks faith in "diversity" even though that's just a more realistic reflection of the world we live in).

I still like the series and love the sense of humor, but did not love as much as Volume 1. Perhaps the Civil War II aspect was just confusing to me as I haven't read anything else in that crossover event. But I will keep reading

Don't have to know much about the Marvel Universe to understand what is happening and keep the characters sorted when they randomly show up. Enjoying this series.

I liked the stories in Hooked On A Feline a little better. Might have enjoyed Don't Stop Me-Ow more if I knew anything about Black Cat, but I didn't know much about the villains in the first volume, so I'm not sure that's true. There's just something about this collection that feels less cohesive. The art is still wonderful, though.
