This is one of the better Final Crisis Aftermats out there. Mark Richards is the Tattooed Man and prior to Darkseid's attack, he was a villan, but an act of selflessness by Black Lightening saved him and his family from the Justifiers. This brought Mark to the side of truth and justice. He even earned membership in the Justice League.
But things are starting to unravel. Thugs are dying in mysterious ways that lead back to him. His son is getting caught up in gangs. The Liberty Hill cops are completely crooked and out to get him. And someone from his past is back.
There is some nice, if violent, storytelling in this volume, with interesting, and very human, choices made by the characters. And the resolution is interesting, with strong hints of further adventures possible. If DC is brave enough to follow up.
