This book is just a worse ACOTAR. If you don't enjoy reading dumb main characters don't bother with this one. There was multiple times where our MC would have the answer in her face, or someone would tell her what they were doing, and our MC would deny that it was happening because "there's no way that could happen"

I found it so frustrating how dumb our MC was.

I genuinely wanted to like this book. The basic plot intrigued me but it was executed poorly. 6 lords with powers and 1 powerless, in a fight to the death. Seems amazing.

Spoilers Below

plot twist, NOTHING HAPPENS. So many times Isla is surprised to say that she has survived so long in the trials. When nothing and no trial had even happened. 100 day trial and 50 days there's a rule for no killing each other, lame. And when the 50 days is up, you are still only reading a mystery novel. Where's the danger??

The best part of this book is the last hour (audio). The twist where she had her memory erased was good. But the fact that she had powers the entire time was kind of obvious.
