This was perfect! It was recommended by professor Mike after taking his class CS157: Introduction to Logic at Stanford. I'm so glad I got to know this book existed! I loved it. I'm so looking forward to reading "Uncle Petros and Goldbach's Conjecture"

A gorgeous book, beautifully crafted and thought out. I loved the weaving of the real and the narrative, and found the story telling and imagery to be imaginative and creative. I particularly enjoyed the paradoxes chapter as well as the one following set in Greece, and the panels of Russell and Wittgenstein in the snow after the war. Food for thought, beautifully presented.

This was a fun read but sometimes hard to follow. Because of the heavy philosophical content it was sometimes difficult to get into a nice reading flow simply because I had to stop and think things through. I'm not familiar with Betrand Russell's thought so a reader who knows a little about his work would probably not have the same problem. Even so, the comic was so well-written that it made up for the difficulty of the content.

Super heady! Don't let the graphic novel format fool you, this is a book you have to work to understand. Definitely worth it though! Very interesting, informative, and entertaining!

I give this work 5 stars with a caveat: it is a very difficult endeavor to recount (part of) the history of the foundation of logic in the framework of a dramatic narrative. This book will not fully satisfy those seeking mathematics, nor those seeking adventure. But, at the cusp of both, it's a phenomenal work for taking these individual, seemingly incommensurable, components, and presenting them as a coherent whole. A little mediocre as both a maths book and a comic book, but a brilliant read, and far more than the sum of its parts. For that reason, I give it 5 stars.
