The Power of Six

Pittacus Lore

Just finished my second time through this book. I read it the first time and when I got book 3 I had to go back to re-read. This book is jam packed with action - and there was a lot I had forgotten from the first time. I loved it both times I read it though and it was a great sequel to the first book. I can't wait to dig into book 3.

I loved the way this one switched between characters, alot more action than the first book and I definitely enjoyed this one alot more.

Loving this series and the characters. The story is action packed and I love the abilities that each Garde has. I sure hope the next one in the series comes out quick because I cannot wait to see what happens next!
adventurous fast-paced

Finally the continuation of the story we never got on film! I loved meeting Marina and seeing things from another's perspective, although her story with her guardian was a bit heartbreaking. John? I have no words for John. I thought after causing Henri's death in book 1 he'd get smarter, yet he does the exact same stupidity again, out of pure selfishness, and of course it ends in disaster and sets off a whole series of events. Six is literally the only one with a braincell in that trio.

Ella was super sweet and like Marina, I was hoping we could keep her, so I was happy with her plot twist. Really curious to see how all the characters will interact in future books.

The authors, under the combined alias of Pittacus Lore, did an amazing job on this book. They did not crush the quality of the first, like some other authors tend to do, but instead made the second one even better.

a little tragic but so much action makes up for it and the two sided narrative was enjoyable. they left several cliffhangers for the reader to want to continue into the next narrative by for or by Marina.

John no aprende!

This was a really good sequel. Just as with the first book, it read like a movie to me, with fast-paced action, brief description, and succinct dialogue. I had several questions upon finishing the first book. Some were answered, some were answered but led to more questions, and a couple went unanswered but were maddeningly fleshed out.

Do read this book. First, maybe take off your literary critic hat and put on your action movie buff hat.

On second thought, this book is about alien invasion and would probably be best enjoyed underneath some tin foil.
