Irritating but have to finish the series
Why oh why do writers have their heroes do all the most stupid things but still win out in the end?

The sequel to I Am Number Four. This was ok, without an actual ending, so either you read the next one, or assume they win the war.

I do believe my bias for sci-fi is skewing my ratings for these books. There are many things that are poorly done such as the suspense, the love triangle, and let's not forget the antagonists. *SPOILERS?*
The Mogs were badass enough to wipe out 99.9999% of the population of Lorien, a good percentage of them with superpowers and they knew how to use them, yet they are struggling with just a few Loric teens on Earth. Best part is the ones they're struggling to kill don't fully understand their abilities, not to mention some powers haven't even developed yet. Simply put, the logic doesn't follw. Alas, I think the overall story is good and my love for sci-fi allows me to rate both books a 3.

reread june 10 - I liked Marina and Ella sides the best
Not a fan of 4. He seems to be becoming more reckless and stupid as the books go on. The others seem to have better powers too and I have a feeling 4 has yet to get an awesome power. I like 6 she is badass and doesn’t take any crap. I also liked the introduction of the other characters and how they have been hiding out. It seems to be heating up this book second half was very action packed.
This novel is a fast-paced second installment of the Pittacus Lore series; to give it its first credit, it begins exactly where the first novel ended. The characters of Sam, Six and Four continue to grow and readers learn more about their past on Lorien and their duties on Earth. A paralled storyline is revealed in the character of (Seven) Marina, who has been in hiding in a convent in Spain since her arrival with the others. As she approaches her 18th birthday, she is more and more convinced that she needs to locate Four and move towards her destiny. She faces many challenges such as locating her Chest and learning about her developing legacies, particualarly that of her ability to heal. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series!

Crud, I wish that had been better! It was pretty slow moving and, in the end, not much happened. A little was revealed about the WHY and HOW of everything, but only enough to annoy me that I do not know more. It did completely leave you hanging at the end AGAIN, so I am looking forward to the next one (and, I hope, it will be the end! I can not read more than a trilogy unless in is as good as Harry Potter was!) Hopefully more will be revealed and it will be a bit more exciting....
Okay so I read "Pitticus Lore's" first book I am Number Four and barely got through it. I wasn't intrigued by the plot, John annoyed me with his overwhelming stupidity, and Sarah made me want to barf. The only highlights of the book were the fighting scenes and number six, who I think we can all agree is a complete and total BOSS. So when one of my friends told me I have to read book 2 i was reluctant... let me tell you i was so surprised! The second book (as well as the third) were so much better! I was hooked. The introduction of new characters was great and attention grabbing and I am officially obsessed and counting down the days till the next book comes out. Granted John still makes the dumbest decisions, like going into that cave and losing Sam. And Sarah still annoys me. (TEAM SIX & JOHN). but i was really impressed with the total 180 this series did! Keep it up Pitticus!
