I loved how the author grabbed my attention during those first chapters. I couldn’t put it down! Especially during Christmas nor New Year’s Eve. It was that amazing, really.
I loved Huntyr’s personality. Sometimes she even reminded me of Celeana from Throne of Glass series! Fierce. Strong. Loyal.
Favorite quotes: “Bleed and live,” “And my heart belongs to you too,”
I enjoyed the world building - unique and beautifully written. (1st Point of View though we get to see someone else’s POV at the end) very much appreciated, by the way!!!! Each character felt different from the main character - and easy to remember though I’d hoped to learn more about them… although I suppose it is yet to be revealed in the next book.
Halfway through the book, I started to notice missing information to the story, friendships and trust were easily made for someone who is supposed to be an assassin, some of her choices didn’t align with what she thought at the beginning. So I was confused with the character’s goal and decisions. This is what I felt missing… As well as more description.
HOWEVER,
Speechless. Anger. Worried. Shocked. That’s what those final chapters made me feel. THAT CLIFFHANGER SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. I need to know what happens next and why it happened!
Really enjoyed reading it, if you love magic, a strong female main character, angels, and action, this is a great place to start. Fast-paced, easy to read. You will not regret it! First book read in 2024!

OH MY GOD?? This book is amazing!!! I went into this not expecting much besides an academic enemies to lovers but I left with a deep love for a certain fallen angel and fae.
The pacing at times is a bit fast and at some points I had to reread paragraphs over to understand what exactly I had just read but my goodness!!! Oh I can't wait to read book 2 later this month!!! Seriously if you want a story where the main characters make sense and the twists actually leave you mouth open, read this book!!
