This was a great follow-up to the first book—though I personally found the original slightly stronger overall. The author has a remarkable gift for crafting compelling characters that you can not help but root for.

I enjoyed the plot, but the pacing felt uneven. The first 70% moved slowly, and I found myself waiting for things to pick up. Once it did, though, I was hooked—I tore through the final chapters without pause.

Also, the very final twist with Owen continuing the Truth or Dare didn’t quite work for me. It felt a little out of place and didn’t hit the mark in my opinion.

While this is a clear step down from the first book in the series for me, I still had a good time. I do like the characters from the previous installment more, specifically Bronwyn, Nate and Addy, but Knox, Maeve and Phoebe were still great. I love how well the side plots come full circle and tie in with the main story in both books, it's really satisfying. The Owen twist was truly jaw dropping. Overall, a highly enjoyable read. Probably will reread it some time in the future.

I absolutely loved the characters with all my heart, they were unique, funny and all of them had interesting povs. The only thing I dislike is how things only line up at the end, and it’s always random side characters that are involved with the mystery, so it’s not very shocking. Owen’s involvement was the only plot twist that I didn’t predict, which kinda took the edge off the mystery. But other than that, I loved the relationships and dynamics between the characters and that the characters from ‘One of Us Is Lying’ were also involved in this story.
