A 1967 cold war era black mirror episode that absolutely could have been written today. This little novel is applicable to both current and future crises we face - covid-19, climate change, the ever-increasing social wealth disparity, I could go on!

this made me feel just like high rise did: very interested but ultimately disappointed bc i want these books to have more character building but that’s not their focus 😭 im fascinated by how apocalypse stories from decades ago can be so relevant today though and the messages on human nature are always interesting in disaster stories!
