This book was such a great read. It gave so much backstory about all the characters, making it easy to follow and understand. After this, I will probably go down a King Arthur and hoodoo tunnel. I have to know more🤷🏾♀️. The addition of microaggressions in a PWI school made it so relatable(sadly). Boy don't I understand🙄!! I loved how action-packed this was. Everything just added more to the story, and not just boring information. Let me stop rambling lol 😬

This was a wild ride that didn't go in the direction I was expecting at all. Unfortunately, it ended not onlyw with a cliffhanger, but also in a way that sets up a possible (probable?) love triangle. That's a trope in YA novels that I despise. But, this book is based on mythology that I'm not super familiar with and that is pretty intriguing, especially the American twist Deonn gave it. I'm definitley looking forward to the next installment!
