(re-read) okay so I finally got to fully appreciate this book and its brilliance with that re-read, but I will say that the pacing felt a bit uneven towards the middle, I didn't feel as invested as I did at the beginning, which may explain why I had felt the first time around that I didn't know what was happening anymore. but all in all great story, great characters, and I can't wait to finally read books 2 and 3!!
