3.5 for narration by Samantha Cook
4 for narration by Zachary Webber
This book represents what I like and don't like about contemporary romances these days, and why I rarely read them. I liked Lara and Ian, and much of the story was entertaining,if not quite believable. I definitely have issues with "billionaires with hearts of gold" stores, especially when they are Wall Street whiz kids, but that's my own prejudices showing.
What I don't care for that is common in contemporary romances is authors stopping the forward momentum of the story, often in mid dialog, to describe someone, or the room, or to have the POV character go into their heads for a while. In the middle of an interaction,I don't need to know what the personal assistant is wearing, what she looks like, and how good we think she is at her job, or not. Do that before or after the conversation, don't interrupt a tense scene with it.
Also,I realize we're reading a romance here, but do we really have to have a female protagonist who all but loses her professionalism because of the "hot guy?" Do women really start stammering when a hot guy talks to them? REALLY?
Obviously I enjoyed enough about the story to continue, but at the end I was definitely didn't understand the decisions made by Ian and Lara concerning their relationship, and why it took them so long to figure out the solution. The ending was too pat, but again, that's pretty much expected.
Zachary Webber's narration was quite good as usual. He has a great delivery and strong female voices. Samantha Cook was good, but not as strong as Webber, and her male voices were a little weak. She was also weaker on intimate scenes, and I wished those had been narrated by Webber.

Spoiler
I didn't like the fact that Lara basically lied to Ian about what she was doing and the decision she made, or that Ian didn't call her one it.Zachary Webber's narration was quite good as usual. I LOVE this series. I pretty much read it in reverse order but I knew as soon as I finished the 3rd installment (Huge Deal) that I had to come back and read this one and I wasn’t disappointed.
This was such a cute book all around. Ian and Lara had instant chemistry from the moment they met and the build up to their relationship was the cutest. From Lara’s inter conflict about whether or not she thought Ian was guilty of insider trading on top of her growing attraction for him to Ian’s confidence that Lara would see the truth... I was entertained from the first page to the last.

4/5 stars
I have such a soft spot for girl fbi agents so let's just say that I was sold the moment I read she wanted to be one.
