I loved this book. It themes, it’s voice the story. It touched me. 
It’s a hard book to read, dark and oppressive. 

It’s not plot heavy, but character driven and I applaud Anvi Doshi for such a raw story. I will read again.

What the book did well: 
It was like a rollercoaster never knowing what was coming next 
When characters were confused or drunk or sad - that is how the writing made me feel 
Conveys the reality of mother daughter relationships and the complexity of them 


I however did not enjoy the book as a whole, I enjoyed the concept but felt it was a bit all over the place, lacked a proper plot, the ending felt unfinished
