A beautiful ending to a crazy series filled with a lovable and flawed character.

Despite unlikable characters and unlikeable plot moments/actions, I found this series compelling with original takes on lore and just had to read all 4 books!! I realize now that I’ve entered this world at a late point in the timeline, so wil not start from the beginning.

Not sure how to rate this, frankly I didn't like the story.
The characters pushed all the wrong buttons for me and the story tried to be a bit of everything, Urban Fantasy, Chick-Lit, Political/Social Drama, and succeeded at none.
A completely unmotivated sex scene at the climax of the story (pun intended) followed-up by obnoxious "dirty talk" didn't help my enjoyment of the story any.
Also there's a huge logic gap at the (overly sappy) end of it:

When Deirde dies, again, she meets her father in the Afterlife who died when Genesis hit.
That contradicts everything we are told about why Elise couldn't resurrect those that died before the Gensis event - i.e. that shortly after death the "soul" is getting pooled and reused.
