Night Play, book 7 of the Dark-Hunters/Were-Hunters series, by Sherrilyn Kenyon (McQueen) @mysherrilyn. This is a reread of this series for me. Long overdue, at that! 😂 I am reading this series in the order from Sherrilyn’s website/Goodreads.

I thoroughly enjoyed & loved reading this book about Bride & Vane. There was more about Acheron & Valerius, too. And we got introduced to Fury & Fang, Vane’s brothers. If you like fated mates, PNR, shifters, MF, yep, this book is for you.

I'm reading all of her books and I'm always happy by the end of them 😊

This was a little too much on the insta-love side but it didn't take me to long to read so It didn't bother me.

Vane and Bride seemed a bit to cheesy for my blood which only disappointed me a little. But I love the bickering from the past characters. And oh man anything and everything with Ash and Simi 😍seriously!

Thanks for reading,
SJ

It’s cliched and a bit trite, predictable but wonderful!! Happy characters make me happy; and watching them conquer their own hardships to find happiness when the real world is so filled with sorrow and despair, it’s good to take a moment to pretend love is real

I didn't think I would like this book, but I surprisingly did. I thought the story was very sweet, I just wish it wasn't classified as a Dark-Hunter novel, because it really focused on Vane with some interaction from the Dark Hunters. All that said, I definitely enjoyed the book and can't wait to read the next one.

This world that Sherrilyn has created has sucked me in so much that I can't get enough of any of the characters, good, bad, demon, immortal, mortal.

Although I didn't like how the book started - Vane and Fang hanging in a swamp, left to die - I championed on and am so glad I did. We got a brief glimpse of both Vane and Bride a book or two when Vane was asked to protect Talon's woman and he saw her from afar.

I love how Bride is a curvy woman and not some stick thin size zero with body issues that Vane helps her see are not issues at all.

I do think that there could have been more intense "battle scenes" between Vane and his mother or Stefan in Sanctuary, but after reading the entire book and getting to know Vane and his love and loyalty to family, the scenes were more emotionally intense to me rather than physical in battle for him.

What also makes me enjoy this wonderful world is the sense of humor throughout the books. A scene can be really intense and somehow that intensity can be cracked by another character's offbeat remark.
