It is genuinely scary that THIS is described as Elsie Silverโ€™s best work?
I really didnโ€™t like that this included themes of sexual assault in the workplace resulting in unfair dismissal as a plot point to get Rosie to go home to her lil olโ€™ smol town *gag*. Whose decision was it to make Rosie go through her boss sexually assaulting her in the workplace, that effected her so deeply to the point she leaves for an unspecified amount of time at the expense of her relationship and life in the big city only for her to get a job and sleep with her male boss in the workplace within a couple weeks?!

I feel as though the major events in these characters lives as mentioned in the spoilers and more were traumatic and were both handled poorly in terms of character development and completely unnecessary. I ended up just finding a TikTok that said all the smut parts and then closed this chapter of my reading exploration.
I do want to thank this book for helping me realise that I am a boring litfic lover through and through and books that just say things for the sake of saying things to push the plot along make me want to scream into the abyss.

If Elsie writes it, Iโ€™m going to buy it. No questions asked. I originally intended on switching between the physical copy and reading it on my kindle, but when I saw Zachary Webber was narrating for Ford, I knew I had to get the audiobook as well. Yโ€™all, I freaking loved it! Am I surprised? Heck no. Zachary Webber and Vanessa Edwin did an amazing job bringing Ford  and Rosie to life!

I absolutely love Willa, so when I first heard that this was going to be about Ford, and that he was going to be a single dad, I was beyond excited. The dynamic between Ford and Rosie was great, and their banter? Gah I loved it and their emails so much! Then thereโ€™s Cora. This girl stole the show for me and I adored seeing her relationship grow with both Ford and Rosie. It was truly something special๐Ÿ’•

Closed Door Mod:  Chapter 26 (some parts, Chapter 30 (some parts) Chapter 31, Chapter 34, Chapter 36, Chapter 40 (some parts)

This is the second romance I read by Elsie Silver and it certainly wonโ€™t be my last one. Silver really crafted up the dream book boyfriend in Ford Grant, and the tension and longing between Ford and Rosie made want to find out what happens to them in the end. Additionally, the setting of Rose Hill as well as the cast of characters came to life for me in this book and it made imagine myself right there in the midst of it all. Perfect for fans of the brotherโ€™s best friend, โ€˜itโ€™s always been youโ€™, and grumpy x sunshine and want a book set in a charming small town setting, you need to read this book.
