Closed Door Mod:  Chapter 26 (some parts, Chapter 30 (some parts) Chapter 31, Chapter 34, Chapter 36, Chapter 40 (some parts)

This is the second romance I read by Elsie Silver and it certainly won’t be my last one. Silver really crafted up the dream book boyfriend in Ford Grant, and the tension and longing between Ford and Rosie made want to find out what happens to them in the end. Additionally, the setting of Rose Hill as well as the cast of characters came to life for me in this book and it made imagine myself right there in the midst of it all. Perfect for fans of the brother’s best friend, ‘it’s always been you’, and grumpy x sunshine and want a book set in a charming small town setting, you need to read this book.

Ugh, Ford and Rosie Posie! 🩷

I love these two. But what Elsie Silver character have I not loved? So, shocker there! I go absolutely feral for some pining, especially if it’s the MMC. This delivered so many of my favorite things and I ate it up and wished there was more.

The start, with Cora showing up, had me doubting this story would grab me the way the others did but once again I fell head first in love with all of these characters. And I’ve never been more excited to read a series about a bunch of single dads who bowl every other Thursday.

I loved so many things about this but my gosh did some of it break my heart. Cora’s mom and dad made me so sad. Ford is obviously a huge part of her life now but she spent so much of her young life watching the only man she knew as her father die slowly and her mom dying a little bit alongside him. She is one of those kids who had to grow up too fast. But now she’ll get the chance to just be a kid and have some healthy relationships with adults who will let her be young.

Getting a little insight into Ford’s parents was also interesting. And it was amazing to get a little Willa cameo. It’s clear she and Rosie would be the best of friends if they all lived closer to one another.

The spice level in this one was also pretty perfect. And what a dirty mouth this man has. I loved that they were still bickering and pissing each other off even when they were… ehm… enjoying themselves. 10/10 for chemistry.

I can’t wait to read the bonus chapter for a few years down the road after I digest this story a little more. I desperately don’t want it to be over yet! But I’m excited too because I KNOW we will see them all again in other stories. 🩷
